Newton Neutron Applications Workshop

TINT-STFC Newton Program on Skills for Large Facilities

Newton Neutron Applications (NNA) Workshop  as part of International Nuclear Science and Technology Conference 2019 (INST2019)

The workshop aims for knowledge sharing from experienced UK researchers, and for strengthening the understanding and scientific capability of SEA researchers regarding the applications of neutron techniques.

Scopes:

Applications of neutron techniques in scientific investigations and industrial research

Date:

Newton Neutron Applications (NNA) Workshop, 5 February 2019 (Morning session).

INST2019, 4 – 6 February 2019 (https://www.inst-th.org/event/1/)

Venue:

Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok, Thailand

Call for participants: [Applications deadline has now passed. Thank you for your interest.]

Two participants each from Newton SEA countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) will be supported.

Support:

TINT will waive the registration fee for the participants to attend INST2019 and the Neutron Applications Workshop and will provide accommodation for non-Thai participants (checking in on 3rd Feb and checking out on 7th Feb). Participants from qualifying institutes will also be provided airfare support by Newton UK.

Deadline:

Interested participants must complete the application form and submit an abstract of their research work to be presented at INST2019.  Due to the limited time slots, most works will be presented as Poster, but a couple might be as Oral. The abstract must illustrate the use of neutron techniques to solve their research problem.  If interested participants do not have prior experiences with neutron techniques, they must illustrate how neutron techniques will benefit their research in the abstract.

Download: Application & Abstract form.

The application and abstract must be submitted via e-mail to Dr. Kanokporn Boonsirichai (kanokpornb@tint.or.th) by 15 September 2018 (extended to 30 Sep). Please include [Newton Neutron INST2019] in the e-mail subject.

Note: Works that do not get selected for NNA session may be submitted via INST2019 regular channel to be presented as Posters (registration fee to be paid regularly).
